A donor filled in my form but I can't find them — where do they go?

In short: People who fill in your capture form don't appear in donor search yet — their submissions are held on the Donor Responses page under Responses to Process. Open it, review each submission, and Save it to turn it into a donor.

Why you can't find them

A form submission isn't a donor until you save it. Submissions are held for review first so nothing is created automatically. That's why a person who filled in your link won't show up when you search the Donors list — you need to process their response.

How to find and save them

  1. Open the Donors page.
  2. Above the donor list, look for the notification showing a count and Donor updates to process. Click View (this opens the Donor Responses page).
  3. On the Responses to Process tab, find the submission. Use the Response Types filter and choose New to show only brand-new capture-form submissions.
  4. Tick the submission (or several), then click Save Selected to create the donor(s). You can also open one to review the details before saving.

After saving, the person appears as a normal donor in your donor list and search.

📌 Note: If Merge Duplicate Donor Captures? is switched on, a submission that matches an existing donor on email or phone is merged into that donor instead of creating a duplicate.
